Pampered in the Valley
Disappear on Doug Carrick's Valley course or into your own private hot tub

The resort may not be as easily accessible as some more frequented southern destinations, sitting 45 minutes away from the single terminal airport in nearby Deer Lake, but as holds true with many things in golf — there is as much to be taken from this journey as there is from the destination. As it does in many parts of Canada, the Transcontinental Highway offers many sights on the way to Humber Valley Resort from wild fox to native birds to hopefully a distant view of the unofficial provincial animal in the moose. Understandably, once you arrive through the gates of the home of Doug Carrick’s River Course design, you may be yearning for some creature comforts — and nestled amongst the wilderness you will find them. Staying in one of the over 150 chalet style homes, hidden from view on the course, you can disappear into a hot tub and reappear for dinner at the Eagle’s Perch overlooking the stunning elevated tee of the 10th. Or if the mood strikes you, make use of the fully equipped kitchens outfitted in your chalet.
Find the peace and quiet you’ve been after at the Found Spa at Humber Valley or find something more active to do by taking a post-round hike, or a wade in the Humber River — not to look for lost balls — but to perhaps land one of the many Atlantic Salmon which frequent the waters. And yes, there is golf. The 18-hole River Course (winner of the SCOREGolf Magazine Top 100 Courses for 2007) awaits your arrival in this East Coast paradise.
