We will watch Wie Created: Thu July 29, 2010, 12:32 pm

When I think of icons in women's golf, the names Annika Sorenstam, Lorie Kane, and Karrie Webb come to mind - all phenomenal players. But names like Natalie Gulbis, Lorena Ochoa and Michelle Wie are also all the buzz in and around the LPGA Tour.

Wie continues to amaze me. While there may have been some talk that she was ‘burnt out' earlier in her career, with a strong finish in 2009 and a good start to 2010, I see a revitalized golfer. In 2009, she became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. She became the second LPGA Tour rookie to qualify for The Solheim Cup, as a captain's pick, after only one season in which to earn points and was the youngest member of the team at the age of 19; leading the team with a 3-0-1 record. Whew! She's off to a decent start in 2010 with a T22 finish at the season-opening Honda PTT LPGA Thailand and a T15 finish at the HSBC Women's Champions.

Let's just say she will be one I am going to watch this season.
