In my travels I have come to the following conclusion: women are fantastic supporters of the game.In Montreal I had the pleasure of witnessing a group of women who had never played golf before. They were brought out to one of our corporate days by their client and at first had serious reservations about (and I quote) “this stupid game”. By then end of the day they were laughing, joking and had decided that they actually liked golf.
This is such a common theme. I hear all the time – I hate golf, it’s too hard, it takes too long, I’m not good at it, and several other less than positive comments. Not surprisingly, get a group of women together, and we can accomplish anything. If you’ve tried golf before and have not been bitten by the “bug” then I urge you to try again. Get together with a bunch of women. If your friends don’t golf, join a group who does. Take a group lesson. I assure you, with the power of other women behind you - you will see a glimpse of why we love this game.
