So what does this mean for women golfers? Well, the most important day of the year is in just a few weeks — Mother’s Day.
This year Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 9. And I know for a fact that my mom would love to play golf with her favourite daughter. The challenge? What if your mom is not an avid golfer? Or doesn’t have the proper equipment?
Here are a few suggestions:
Golf Town is hosting a contest that is running now through May 3 called The Golf Town Mother’s Day Makeover Contest. The rules are fairly simple: nominate your mom, friend, or family member for a complete golf makeover package by uploading an essay or video to www.golftownmakeovercontest.com telling them why your nominee deserves to win. If selected, they’ll win a golf makeover valued at over $3,000. Sounds like a great Mother’s Day gift to me.
